There are only three words that can describe this farm wedged in the middle of the Clark's River bottom. HABITAT! HABITAT! HABITAT!!!
We scouted the farm before leasing it. Sign was incredible and the first words that came to my mind were SWAMP DONKEYS. I called a friend that grew up in the area and I was to say the least thrilled to here his opinion on the property.
A 65 acre clear cut from about 5 years back is now a tremendous thicket and these have proven year after year not to be the place where deer will pass through, but instead live and thrive due to the vast cover and unlimited browse. There are many small fields woven through the standing timber. There are also 4 large ponds on the property. The farm is surrounded by crop fields and cover so dense I wouldn't even attempt to penetrate it. A large swamp lays to the north and can only be crossed with a kayak or something along those lines. It is protected to the north by the city limits and this was a major draw for me.
